After 30 months of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions, the SEANERGY project is officially coming to an end in March 2025. Financed by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement number 101075710, SEANERGY brought together 12 partners from 9 countries to support European ports in their transition towards clean energy systems.
The project has delivered a range of powerful tools and outcomes designed to guide port authorities, stakeholders, and policymakers in transforming port operations into sustainable energy hubs. These results were captured in the final SEANERGY video, highlighting the key deliverables that will continue to shape the sector beyond the project’s duration.
Key Exploitation Results :
SEANERGY Master Plan
A comprehensive and dynamic roadmap to support ports in reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, and integrating clean technologies. This online tool enables real-time updates and long-term strategic planning.
SEANERGY Handbook
A practical guide offering step-by-step recommendations for the decarbonisation journey, tailored to various port sizes and contexts. From energy audits to governance models, the Handbook empowers ports to take actionable steps.
Catalogue of Technologies
An interactive resource presenting over 90 technologies, from alternative fuels to solar power, along with performance metrics and use-case insights to support evidence-based decision-making.
Knowledge Exchange from European Workshops
Through regional, demo-port, and pan-European workshops, SEANERGY facilitated a rich exchange of experiences and strategies, now documented in summary reports that showcase best practices and local success stories.
Cultural & Social Inclusion Approach
The project placed strong emphasis on social equity and gender inclusion, highlighting training programmes, workplace safety, and community engagement for a fairer energy transition.
Industry-Academy Programme
SEANERGY invested in the next generation of port professionals through an educational programme combining 11 training modules, practical challenges, and an annual clean energy symposium to bridge academia and industry.
Voices of Green Port Leaders
A series of 25 video interviews gathered perspectives from pioneers across Europe’s port sector, providing real-world insights into overcoming financial, technological, and social barriers.
This journey would not have been possible without the dedication, collaboration, and contributions of the entire SEANERGY consortium.
