The SEANERGY Academic Challenge finished and…we have a winner! Congratulations, Ms. Masego Mosupye!

Ms. Mosupye is a chemical engineer by profession with a specialisation on corrosión management in the maritime sector. She was born and raised in Mahikeng but she is currently studying a Master’s Degree of Science in Maritime Affairs, in the field of Maritime Energy Management at the World Maritime University

She is deeply committed to advancing sustainable solutions in the maritime industry. Her research focuses on green shipbuilding (both in EU and South Africa) and exploring challenges and opportunities for a more energy-efficient and low-carbon maritime sector. Therefore, for her, participating in the SEANERGY Challenge was a natural step, as it provided an opportunity to contribute innovative ideas towards decarbonising shipping. She was highly motivated by the chance to collaborate with experts, apply her technical expertise to real-world challenge and to drive meaningful change in maritime energy sustainability.

Do not forget to check out her proposal for the Port of Duisburg:
