The SEANERGY Handbook will act as a comprehensive and interactive guideline of the Project Port Energy Transition Master Plan’s information and contents. The Handbook will support the port stakeholders to have a complete and deep understanding of the Masterplan facilitating the EU Port Decarbonization actions.

The main objectives of the SEANERGY Handbook are:

  • To introduce and support the port stakeholders in the navigation of the Masterplan Website;
  • To deploy and engage in direct contact with EU Port stakeholders receiving useful information about the main actions to carry out for EU Port decarbonization;
  • To create a new sense of community across the value chain by fostering and boosting the introduction of the Masterplan practices to more ports and stakeholders beyond the SEANERGY Project

The content of the SEANERGY Handbook is multidisciplinary and heterogeneous in order to provide the final-users with a 360-degree overview of the actions to be carried out by EU Ports for implementing sustainable energy policies and innovative fuel technologies into their Ports.

The main outcomes provided by the Handbook are the following:

  • Detailed instructions presenting the library of data available on the Master Plan’s webpage. The aim will be to explain and dive deeper into further detail of the information on how the Stakeholders are able to take action to find and implement sustainable energy and fuel technologies, making a greener port;
  • Customized recommendations for Port stakeholders, which consist of tips and guidelines that will allow the users to take what they have learned from the videos and apply them under real-life scenarios;
  • Interactive questionnaires which support stakeholders to surf Masterplan information in order to reach a specific objective and gather information for further activities and recommendations about Port Decarbonization;
  • Interactive activities to reinforce knowledge. These are activities that summarize the information presented in the Handbook video instructions and recommendation, with a series of questions and matching exercises, among others, that aim to make learning more entertaining and put abilities to the test;
  • A written report containing all the relevant information regarding a topic or series of topics within the same framework.

The SEANERGY Handbook will be subjected to a validation and implementation process. In fact, the Handbook will be evaluated and tested by the SEANERGY Demo Ports and by other EU Ports through five workshops

The SEANERGY’s Handbook validation process will collect the outcomes from the Demo Ports and Community testing of the Masterplan and the Handbook and report the results of this review.

In addition to that, the feedback and the recommendations that will come from this process will be included in the Port Energy Transition Master Plan and in the Handbook.

The final deadline for the SEANERGY’s Handbook is set for October 2025. During this period, the Handbook will be built according to the Masterplan contents and tailored throughout the recommendations of SEANERGY validation workshops.
