On completion of this module, the participants will be able to:

  1. Understand key concepts related to energy audit, energy consumption, energy intensity and energy efficiency;
  2. Recognize the main standards (i.e. ISO 50001, EN 16247), guidelines and EU directives on energy (energy efficiency directive, renewable energy directive, energy performance of buildings directive);
  3. Analyse the energy flow and sources, and distinguish the different type of energy and energy users;
  4. Identify techniques to plan correctly a data collection and a monitoring campaign, and to support the energy audit process;
  5. Recognize the different areas of energy consumption within a port and identify the options and measures to support energy transition;
  6. Learn from case studies of ports that have successfully carried out energy transition measures.

  4. Assess and manage risks: Gain awareness of the risks associated with hydrogen use and learn effective strategies for risk management and mitigation.

  5. Analyse the Seanergy project case study to understand the application of the LCA methodology.
